Narrative essay writing essay papers

There are many types of essay writing that are present in today’s times. There are descriptive essays, definition essays, process essays, compare and contrast essays and many others. All of these different essays are written for different types of essay topics. For example a compare or contrast essay is written when we wish to tell the reader about two subjects by listing the differences or similarities between them. Similarly if a writer wishes to tell his or her readers about the various steps in a particular process then the writer would be said to be writing a process essay. Similarly if a writer wishes to write about him or herself and of his or her experiences then he or she should write a narrative essay.

Narrative essay writing is basically a detailed description of an incident or an event. In earlier times narrative essays were only written for true, non fictional and historic events that took place. These essays described every detail and aspect of these incidents. Today however the scenario is different. In today’s times, if one wishes, then one can write a narrative essay about any sort of incident or event that comes to one’s mind. Today narrative essays can be about either true non fictional events or they can be about imaginary fictional events. It is all up to the writer as to what he or she wants to narrate to the readers.

For narrative essay writing, all that one needs is a creative imagination and a good thought process. If the writer cannot come up with some techniques and ideas for his or her narrative essay, then all he or she has to do is sit by him or herself and brainstorm for ideas. A great deal of thought has to be put into this brainstorming and the whole essay in general. Writing a narrative essay is not as simple as people think it to be. Writing a narrative essay requires the writer’s undivided attention and requires him or her to be slightly imaginative and creative about it. The writer must first think about a topic that he or she would like to write about. After this they should think of relevant related ideas to the main topic. The writer must always make note of all these thoughts and ideas on paper even though they might seem vague and generally unrelated to the essay. But the good news is that this practice gets the creative juices flowing and gets the writer started on his or her essay.

In narrative essay writing, the writer must always know that as long as his or her thoughts are reflected in the essay, then that is good enough. To get some thoughts and ideas the writer must not only brainstorm, as said earlier, but he or she must also be open-minded. The writer should not worry about whether the readers would find his or her essay strange or funny. As long as the writer’s original and frank thoughts are reflected in the essay. It is good enough. The writer needs to be even more open-minded when it comes to imaginary narrative essay writing. This is because if the writer starts comparing his imagination to the real world then no good can come out of it. Any strange or random, yet creative thoughts that come in to the writer’s mind for the imaginary narrative essay are good enough to be written about. The writer must only be careful about the basic structure of the essay.
